Scholarship Program
Scholarship Program
The Pro Duffers West Golf Club (PDWGC) was founded in 1982 to generate fellowship and comradery by way of enjoyable golfing experiences for its members within the community of Ventura County. During this time span, the PDWGC has always given back to the community in various ways. Scholarship is one of our core principles as a Club of the community. Pro Duffers West Golf Club established and presented its first Scholarship Program Award in 2007 and has given compensation to 52 High School recipients entering college over the past seventeen years. Annually, Pro Duffers West Golf Club recognizes, selects, and honors high school student(s) with a scholarship award. The selection process commences during the latter portion of the high school season of each year and the Scholarship award(s) are presented to deserving and qualified candidates on designated dates.
Application packets for the Pro Duffers West Golf Club Scholarship Program are distributed typically the previous quarter of each year, collected, and evaluated by the indicated deadline, then the successful candidate(s) are selected, announced, and celebrated during high school award nights, normally at their High School Senior Graduation Awards Program ceremony. A monetary award is distributed to recipients after proof of acceptance to the college in time to pay for the fall college season, which usually starts in late August. Below are the Pro Duffers West Golf Club Scholarship Program guidelines and application. It includes specific instructions, required candidate information data, general information, and submission address to the Pro Duffers West Golf Club Scholarship Committee.
Together we can make a difference in a positive way!
